Bury have completed the signing of winger Lewis Young on a deal until the end of the season.

The 24-year-old, who was out of contract, is the brother of Manchester United winger Ashley and includes Watford and Burton among his former clubs. Young will travel with the Shakers squad to Cheltenham for their League Two fixture on Saturday. Speaking about the move, Bury boss David Flitcroft said: "When we lost Temitope Obadeyi (on loan) to Plymouth, we lost that unpredictable edge and pace, and Lewis represents that because he does have some real pace about him. "He is good at making the correct decisions in the final third of the pitch and that is something I want in my side. With the pace we have in the team, we have a real energy going forward. "He came to Mansfield with us and watched the game; he knows we play the right kind of football for him. He's not the finished product yet and that's why it's important for him to come to the right club and he knows that. "What he will give us is a great impact from the bench. Sometimes it's a case of being at the right place at the right time and Lewis has just found himself at the right place at the right time. "As a management team, we believe we can get the best out of him and we will put him in a happy place. He is very quick - that we have seen already - he can get in behind defenders and he can hurt teams and we all look forward to seeing him in action."
