Bury announced they have signed left-back Jake Carroll on short-term loan from Championship club Huddersfield.

The 22-year-old has joined the Shakers on an initial 28-day deal after making seven appearances for his parent club this season. Carroll is available to play in eight games for Bury, and Terriers boss Mark Robins told his club's official website: "I am looking forward to observing how Jake does back in first-team action. "He impressed during his short spell in our first team at the start of the season, but his development has been affected lately through an ankle injury. He's not fighting fit and needs games."
