Lowe hits high after goal

Sheffield Wednesday's Ryan Lowe is relieved after scoring his first goal at Hillsborough in the FA Cup win over Aldershot.

Lowe, who had scored seven goals in as many matches for former club Bury before moving to Wednesday for an undisclosed six-figure fee, had notched two for the Owls, at Wycombe and Tranmere, before firing the game's solitary goal in Saturday's second-round tie. He told the club's official website: "Scoring in front of the kop was obviously an ambition of mine since I came here. "The manager told me to keep working hard and the goals will come. I'm a bit of a poacher, if you like, and I like to get into goalscoring positions - that's what I'm all about and I think my record speaks for itself." Lowe, vying for two starting places up front with Chris O'Grady, Clinton Morrison and now Sanchez Watt, on loan from Arsenal, added: "We're fortunate enough to have four good strikers at this football club who are all fighting for two places, so I think whoever plays will connect well."
