Boss Richie Barker was left cursing Bury's luck after two controversial penalties denied his side three points against Notts County.
Jeff Hughes twice stepped up to equalise from the spot and secure a 2-2 draw for the visitors after Andy Bishop and then Giles Coke had given the Shakers the lead.
Barker was left questioning both decisions in the wake of a game he felt his side deserved to win.
"The players were absolutely brilliant," he said. "Sometimes you just don't get what you deserve and we didn't get what we deserved. The only thing that stopped that from being a near-perfect performance was three points. I haven't had anything negative to say because I want the players to take so much pride from that performance.
"We were playing against a team who were third in the league and whose budget is probably five times what ours is. They've got a massive squad too and we've outplayed them.
"From what I gather, both penalties were a little bit dubious but I didn't really see any of them because they weren't clear and they were in melees."
