Crewe have decided against offering a permanent contract to triallist Richard Hinds.
The former Sheffield Wednesday defender appeared in a behind-closed-doors friendly with Everton, but Alex boss Dario Gradi has elected not to offer terms to the 31-year-old. Gradi told the club's official website: "We have decided not to take Richard. "He has come here and done fine but I don't think we would displace the ones we have here at the moment. "He wouldn't have preference over the ones we have here and that is what we are looking for. "We want that player to improve us."
