Full-back looking forward to playing regularly for Keith Hill's side

Barnsley have wrapped up the signing of full-back Jim McNulty from fellow Championship club Brighton & Hove Albion for an undisclosed fee. Skysports.com revealed on Thursday that Barnsley had lined up a move for McNulty, who had suffered with kidney and ankle injuries during his two seasons at Brighton. McNulty has now signed a two-year contract at Oakwell and he is looking forward to the opportunity to play for Keith Hill's men next term. "I'm delighted to have got the deal done and I am happy to be playing in the Championship again," McNulty told Barnsley's official website. "I've heard from others how Keith's man-management is second to none. I've always heard good things about him."

Great move

He added on Brighton's official website: "I've absolutely loved my time at Brighton and I love the club, but it's been a frustrating couple of years for me on the pitch so this is a real chance for me to get by career back on track at a brilliant club. "It's a great move for me to an established Championship club and in a way I feel lucky that a club at this level is still interested in me after the two years I've had - I'm very grateful to Barnsley for this opportunity. "I feel great again following the ankle operation and for the first time in a while I don't feel any pain in my ankle. "I feel like a new player so I'm really looking forward to getting my head down during pre-season and fighting for a place in the side."
