Adams has been a long-term transfer target for Bees boss Andy Scott and he is close to landing his man.
Leicester boss Paulo Sousa is willing to let Adams move on as he does not figure in his long-term plans at the Walkers Stadium.
Adams has struggled to hold down a regular place in the Leicester side since arriving from Bury in 2008 and spent a spell on loan at Leyton Orient last season.
Brentford are believed to be in talks with the 23-year-old as they look to bring him to Griffin Park.
