Tommy Miller insists he is unperturbed by his uncertain future at Ipswich Town.
The 30-year-old is in his second spell at Portman Road but a question mark remains over where the midfielder will be next term with his contract set to expire at the end of the season and as of yet no new deal has been proposed.
The former Sunderland ace is one of 11 players at the club who have their futures hanging in the balance with other big-name stars such as Alex Bruce and Ivan Campo waiting to see if they will be offered new deals.
Despite the situation, Miller remains calm and admits that he would want nothing more than to extend his stay with the Tractor Boys.
"I'm not a worrier," he told the
East Anglian Daily Times. "But if I wasn't in the side and not enjoying my football then that might be different.
"It would be great to stay with Ipswich into next season but what will be will be.
Contract
"I was told in January that contracts will be dealt with near the end of the season when it became clear what the situation would be for 2009/10.
"Hopefully the contract situation will take care of itself over the next couple of months, and the next nine games."
With six goals to his name in all competitions this campaign, Miller is pleased he has added the goalscoring element to his game.
"It is always nice to net a few goals and my general play has been good," he added.
"I have struck up a good partnership with Alan Quinn and we have a good understanding.
"Although we have to guard against any possible complacency with so many good players waiting to step in."
