Sheffield Wednesday have signed Richard Burch, Lee Grant and Richard Hinds.

Brian Laws has been looking to bring in goalkeeping cover since the end of last season and has managed to land both Burch and Grant.

Former England Under 20 international Burch was recently released by Tottenham, while Grant (pictured) joins after rejecting the offer of a new contract at Derby.

Burch has been given a 12-month contract and Grant a two-year deal.

Laws has also raided former club Scunthorpe for versatile defender Hinds, tying him to a three-year deal.

"We are delighted," Laws told Sheffield Wednesday's official website.

"Obviously the first port of call was the goalkeeping situation and both are great for the club because they are very young, very hungry and very able.

"We have got a contest on our hands, something that we have not had for a long time.

"Sometimes we struggled for strength in depth in defence last year and I know Richard very well from my time at Scunthorpe.

"The fact he is a Sheffield boy is an extra ingredient but he can play at centre-back, right-back and in midfield."
