Mansfield Town defender Adam Eaton has handed the Third Division club a major boost by agreeing a one-year deal at Field Mill.
The 24-year-old was also offered a deal to join Rochdale but has decided to stay with the beaten Division Three play-off finalists.
With another 11 players also out of contract at Mansfield, boss Keith Curle (pictured) has spoken of his delight in securing the services of one of his established regulars.
''Adam Eaton is staying, so that's one down and another 11 to go,'' confirmed Curle.
Mansfield are awaiting a decision from Bobby Hassell, Rhys Day, Dave Artell, Jake Buxton, Luke Dimech, Liam Lawrence, Craig Disley, Neil Mackenzie, Tom Curtis, Lee Williamson and Junior Mendes, who have all been offered new deals.
