MANSFIELD TOWN have been given further woes following their heartbreaking 5-4 defeat to Bristol City at Field Mill on Saturday.

The Robins came from 4-2 down to score three goals in the last three minutes of the match, including Leroy Lita's equaliser and Christian Roberts' winner deep in injury time to snatch the points.

Stuart Watkiss' side finished the match with ten men after Lee Williamson was sent off for two yellow cards.

However, match referee Robert Ilderton has decided to give two more Stags players plus Watkiss straight red cards following the match for foul and abusive language.

Liam Lawrence was given a straight red card after being asked to see Ilderton following the match in his change room.

The news got worse for the Division Two strugglers on Monday when Watkiss and captain Neil Moore were given each red cards for the same offence, with both men denying the charge.

The news of the red cards means that Williamson and Lawrence will miss the FA Cup clash against Crewe Alexandra in a fortnight's time while Moore faces a three-match ban starting with the cup tie.

Watkiss could receive a second three-match touchline ban for his red card, starting with the cup tie against The Alex.
