Wycombe, Exeter and Bury chase automatic promotion, while Dagenham and Shrewsbury clash for the last play-off place.
Everything to play for at top, while Chester on brink of relegation
There is everything to play for at the top of League Two on Saturday as Wycombe, Exeter and Bury chase automatic promotion, while Dagenham and Shrewsbury clash for the final play-off place.
Peter Taylor's
Wycombe currently sit in second in the table and need just a point from their final home clash with
Notts County to join already-promoted Brentford in League One next term.
The Chairboys will fancy their chances of a result at Adams Park given they are unbeaten in three games, while the sorry Magpies have lost their last five.
Third-placed
Exeter are unbeaten in seven games but still need to win at
Rotherham to guarantee their promotion.
But it will be tricky against a Millers side who would have also been vying for automatic promotion but for their 17 points deduction at the start of the campaign.
But perhaps the trickiest tie of all is
Bury's North West derby home clash with
Accrington.
Desperate
The Shakers are also unbeaten in 11 games - including winning their last three matches at home - but their opponents will be desperate to stop their local rivals achieving promotion.
It will be just as nervy when seventh-placed
Dagenham take on eighth-placed
Shrewsbury for the final play-off place.
The Daggers need just a draw from the game and the form-book is also on their side given the Shrews have won just twice on their league travels this term, but who will prevail?
Elsewhere at the top, sixth-placed
Rochdale entertain fifth-placed
Gillingham in an intriguing tie, with both teams searching for the win to gain all important momentum going into the play-offs.
But down at the bottom,
Chester are on the edge of the abyss and need a freak set of results to maintain their league status.
Mark Wright's men need to beat managerless
Darlington at the Deva Stadium and hope
Grimsby lose at home to
Macclesfield - but even then, the Seals have a massive 19 goal difference to make up on the Mariners.
Momentum
Elsewhere in the division, teams are playing to end their season on a high and gain momentum for next term.
In a quirk of the fixture list, leaders
Brentford take on bottom side
Luton, with both sides set to get a deserved round of applause from their fans after brave campaigns.
Play-off also-rans
Chesterfield and
Bradford face each other, with the Bantams going into this game on a high given manager Stuart McCall committed his future to the club this week.
The Bantams also beat Rotherham in a Yorkshire derby last time to leapfrog the Spireites, who have lost their last two games and will be missing suspended top-scorer Jack Lester.
Dean Glover takes charge of out-of-form
Port Vale for the last time for the trip to
Barnet, while there is a mid-table clash between
Lincoln and
Aldershot at Sincil Bank.
In the final game of the day,
Morecambe and
Bournemouth clash, with the pressure now off the Cherries after they maintained their league status last time with a win against Grimsby.
