Lowe: Considering future

Ryan Lowe has suggested he is likely to leave Chester City in order to remain in the Football League.

Chester are on the brink of relegation from League Two and Lowe is reluctant to drop down to Conference level.

The striker has scored 18 goals for Chester since rejoining the club on a two-year contract from Crewe Alexandra last summer.

The 30-year-old plans to discuss his future with the club's board following the final game of the campaign against Darlington on Saturday.

"I've got to sit down with the chairman and the owner and discuss my future in the next couple of weeks," said Lowe in the Chester Chronicle.

"I don't think I'm ready to go to the Conference just yet. I was playing League One last season and I don't think I'm ready to drop down two leagues in the space of 12 months.

"We've still got a game to play against Darlington. I'll give it 100 per cent, as all the lads will, and try and give Chester a good send-off. Then I'll sit down and discuss my future."
