Wright: Win or bust

Sky Bet

Chester go into the match knowing nothing less than a victory against Aldershot will do if they are to avoid relegation to the Blue Square Premier.

The Shots sit 15th in League Two but will be looking to restore some pride after a resounding 3-0 defeat against Wycombe in their last match.

No win in eight matches for Aldershot will give Chester some hope and the Hampshire outfit will be without Lewis Chalmers through suspension, while Dave Winfield, Dean Howell and Anthony Charles all picked up injuries last weekend.

Chester news

A defeat against relegation rivals Bournemouth last time out has left Chester four points behind Grimsby and the Cherries with two games remaining.

The Blues will be without Damien Mozika after the club suspended him following 'serious breaches of club discipline.' The French midfielder is expected to return to his homeland in the summer.

Manager Mark Wright is sweating on the fitness of four players for the crunch encounter. Kevin Ellison is the biggest doubt but Paul Linwood, Shaun Kelly and Richie Partridge are all carrying knocks that could see them ruled out.

Wright will also have James Spencer available after the Football League lifted the transfer embargo placed upon them to sign a replacement keeper for John Danby, who is out for the season.

A repeat of the November fixture, a 2-1 Aldershot win at the Deva Stadium, would be disastrous for Chester and would see them slip back into the fifth tier of English football.
