Hereford's Kenny Lunt is pleased with the quality of the squad manager Simon Davey has assembled for the new season.

Davey, who was appointed as the new Bulls boss in June following Graham Turner's departure to Shrewsbury, has restructured a squad which struggled to a 16th-placed finish in League Two last season. Midfielder Lunt, 30, who signed a new one-year deal with the club this summer, is more than happy with the way the former Barnsley and Darlington boss has gone about rebuilding the Edgar Street side. And he told the Hereford Times: "We have got a few lads from last year which will be a help and we've added quality to the squad. "Last season we had a new group of lads and we got off to a difficult start. But towards the end of the season things started changing when everyone got to know each other." He added: "I had a few things with my contract towards the end of last season after I had played a certain amount of games but we sorted that out. I now want to play as many games as I can and keep trying to improve and be up there at the top of the league."
