Defender Andy Iro admits life in England's lower leagues is a little different to what he is used to.
Iro is back in his home country with Barnet, on loan from Stevenage, having spent eight years in the United States where he played for Columbus Crew and Toronto. The 28-year-old has played against David Beckham and Thierry Henry but has now swapped trips to New York and Miami for Accrington and Fleetwood in the League Two relegation battle. Unsurprisingly, Iro admits he misses the Californian lifestyle - but says he has no regrets about returning home. "I moved to the States in my teens, got a scholarship, went to university and studied sociology," he said. "I played against Beckham, Henry, Robbie Keane, lots of good players. I lived in California, played in great cities like New York, Miami, Seattle, and was also blessed to play in places like Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica and Puerto Rico. "But the reality is when you get older, your family get older and you want to be around them. "I've taken a bit of a roundabout route, starting in America and then coming back, but family comes before football. "But yes, I miss it. I've been back a few months and I miss it every day."
