Barnet goalkeeper Dean Brill refused to pin any blame on Izale McLeod for the 2-0 defeat by Swindon.
Goals from Ronan Murray and Oliver Risser put Paolo Di Canio's side in the driving seat at Underhill.
But McLeod missed a great chance to add to his 18 goals this season in first-half stoppage time when he delayed his shot and allowed Robins keeper Wes Foderingham to smother the ball.
"Izale missed a good chance but he's scored enough goals for us this season. I would never put any blame on him," said Brill.
"It's a cliche but we've got to put it behind us and move onto the next game."
