Barnet boss Lawrie Sanchez praised back-up goalkeeper Liam O'Brien following the 3-1 Johnstone's Paint Trophy victory at Gillingham.
Mark Marshall scored while Izale McLeod was on target twice, and missed a penalty, as the Bees bounced back after going behind to Garry Richard's early strike for Gillingham.
And the star of the show for Sanchez was 19-year-old O'Brien, whose stunning saves kept Barnet level at half-time.
"We were up against it because Gillingham are a very good passing side and young Liam has kept us in the game," said Sanchez.
"He's made some brilliant saves and once we sorted one or two things out, holding a higher line, we were excellent second half."
