Dagenham loanee John Akinde has returned to parent club Bristol City for treatment on a groin injury.
The 21-year-old joined the Daggers two weeks ago on loan for the rest of the season but has been unable to make his debut after struggling with pain in his groin which he felt during his first training session. Akinde, who has only featured once for the Robins since joining from Ebbsfleet in 2008 and played 18 times for Bristol Rovers during a four-month loan spell earlier this season, will now be assessed by City's medical staff to determine the extent of the problem.
