Barnet striker Cliff Akurang has joined Blue Square Premier strugglers Weymouth on a one-month loan deal.

The 28-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Underhill, with Bees manager Ian Hendon preferring Paul Furlong and John O'Flynn upfront.

The former Dagenham and Redbridge man already has Blue Square Premier experience having joined Barnet in January last year from Histon.

This season has been a frustrating one for the front-man, with just 12 starts and three goals to his name.

Akurang should go straight into the side for the visit of Barrow, who are just three points below them in the table.

Weymouth are currently 16th, four points from the relegation zone and with a hefty negative goal difference of -28.
