Puncheon agrees Bees deal

Jason Puncheon has signed a one-year contract extension at Barnet.

Jason Puncheon has put pen-to-paper on a one-year contract extension at Barnet.

The 21-year-old, who scored six goals in 41 appearances for the Bees last season, is now tied to Underhill until 2009.

Puncheon held talks with Barnet boss Paul Fairclough and chairman Tony Kleanthous after the first day of pre-season training and has now agreed the deal.

The midfielder becomes the latest piece of business to be negotiated by Fairclough.

The Barnet manager has had a busy close season and has already clinched the signings of six new players in Michael Leary, Max Porter, Ashley Carew, James Cole, Neal Bishop and Anthony Thomas.
