Cameroonian midfielder Patrick Ada is hoping to secure a permanent deal with Barnet.

Ada signed for The Bees in March of this year, and he is hoping that a good pre-season will convince manager Paul Fairclough to sign him on a permanent basis.

Ada's future is yet to be confirmed, but the former Dagenham player is keen to secure a new deal before the 2005/06 campaign begins.

Meanwhile, two Barnet players who have recently signed new contracts, Liam Hatch and Simon Clist, are experiencing different fortunes in their recoveries from groin injuries.

Striker Hatch (pictured) is expected to recover in time for The Bees' League Two opener against Bristol Rovers, but 24-year-old Clist is likely to miss the game as he bids to reach full recovery after surgery.

Away from the playing side, Barnet have appointed former goalkeeper and player manager, Gary Phillips, to the role of reserve team manager.
