Grimsby manager Neil Woods is confident of agreeing a deal to sign striker Michael Coulson.

Grimsby manager Neil Woods is confident of agreeing a deal to sign striker Michael Coulson.

Coulson is a free agent after being released by Barnsley and is likely to join The Mariners, after impressing on loan last season.

Woods told the Grimsby Telegraph: "Talks are very positive with Michael. We hope to conclude a deal soon."

The 22-year old scored five times in 28 starts last term and is keen on a move to Blundell Park.
