Grimsby Town midfielder Terry Fleming has joined Conference club Kidderminster Harriers on a one-year deal.

The 32-year-old turned down the offer of a new deal with The Mariners, despite joining the Blundell Park outfit on a free transfer from Cambridge United a year ago.

The former Preston North End, Lincoln City and Plymouth Argyle player opted to drop out of The Football League in order to help the Aggborough outfit with their quest for promotion back to League Two.

"I'm absolutely delighted Terry has agreed to come here," Harriers boss Stuart Watkiss told the club's official website.

"He's a tough character and a winner - the type of player any team that wants to be successful needs in their side."

Meanwhile, Watkiss is still in talks with Exeter City winger Gareth Sheldon over a move to Aggborough, while The Harriers are speaking with Mansfield Town over the transfer of Kidderminster striker Chris Beardsley to Field Mill.
