County eyeing new signings

Notts County will be looking to add to their squad when the loan window opens, according to chief executive Jim Rodwell.

Rodwell revealed on Monday that he had been speaking to a club regarding a striker and, with Football League clubs able to make loan signings again from Tuesday, he hopes to get the deal done soon. "We will be looking, yes," said Rodwell via a live Q & A session on the club's official website on Monday morning. "I've been speaking to a club about a centre forward on loan, so hopefully we can get that tied up in the next day or so. But we're always looking to loan players in or out to make us more competitive and give us better balance. "That's one of the reasons why I believe that the transfer window for Football League clubs is a bit of a non-event."
