I'm settled with Rams, says midfielder

Derby midfielder Paul Green is optimistic over staying at Pride Park despite rumoured interest from Leeds United. The 29-year-old, who missed a great chance to equalise at the end of Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Middlesbrough, is out of contract this summer. Gareth Roberts and Jake Buxton have recently signed new deals with the Rams, and manager Nigel Clough would like to hang on to the Republic of Ireland international. Green insists that he is settled with Derby, but admits that he is considering his options.

Linked

"To be honest, I didn't even know about Leeds' interest," said Green. "You get linked away from clubs if you're out of contract. As far as I know I'm a Derby player until told otherwise. "They've put something together for me and I'm thinking things over. Hopefully we can get things sorted in the next few weeks. "I'm keen to stay, I'm settled here, it's a great set of lads and if we can get a couple more in the summer it will be good."
