Johnson threatens to wield axe

Yeovil boss Gary Johnson has warned his players that they could find themselves dropped should they not stop making costly errors.

The manager believes silly mistakes blighted their 3-2 defeat at Carlisle after defensive indecision led to Francois Zoko netting the Cumbrians' winner late on. Glovers centre-back Bondz N'Gala also conceded a penalty for United's first of the afternoon. With the Somerset side sitting 18th in League One, just a single point above the relegation zone, Johnson wants his squad to realise mistakes have to be minimised as the term approaches its business end. He told the Western Daily Press: "Individuals have got to work very hard on their decision-making when defending because that is what is probably costing the club its results on occasions. "All players at any level make mistakes, it is just how many mistakes they make that is the important thing. If things keep happening you have got to change the personnel and the ones that are making the individual errors. "At the moment, I have got to give everybody the opportunity to show what they have got and what they can do."
