Scott keen on Harrad stay

Rotherham manager Andy Scott is confident of extending Shaun Harrad's loan deal from League One outfit Bury.

The 27-year-old striker has been a hit in the first few weeks of his initial month-long spell from Bury, banging in three goals in four appearances. The Shakers' front line has since been weakened by Andy Bishop picking up an ankle injury, but after they brought in Lateef Elford-Alliyu from West Brom, Scott hopes to keep Harrad at Don Valley. "I've spoken to (Bury boss) Richie Barker and he said we will speak again next week," Scott said. "We are hopeful by the time his loan is up their injuries will have cleared up and it will enable us to keep him longer."
