Harrad has Shakers future

Bury striker Shaun Harrad still has a future at the club despite joining Rotherham on a month's emergency loan.

Harrad, 27, signed for the Millers on Thursday after failing to make an impact at Gigg Lane following his summer move from Northampton, where he has failed to score in 17 appearances. But Shakers boss Richie Barker has told Harrad his move to Don Valley is a temporary one. "The gaffer has stressed that," he said. "He gave me the option to join and I jumped at the chance. "If it is a successful month and everyone is happy for me to stay another month then I will be happy to do that. But first and foremost I am a Bury player. "I'm really excited. I haven't had the chance to play much football this season so it's a great opportunity to get out and express myself and show what I can do."
