Allen takes positives from loss

Martin Allen has admitted Notts County's first half "didn't quite work", but hailed his side's fightback against Charlton.

County were 2-0 down at half-time before West Ham loanee Cristiano Montano converted Alan Sheehan's corner from close range. Lee Hughes thought he had netted an equaliser, only to be denied by the offside flag, as the hosts slumped 2-1. Allen said: "I learnt that the players have got courage and they can fight back from adversity. "In the first half it didn't quite work, we showed a lack of discipline. "But second half we dominated from start to finish. "We'll pick up bits and pieces from that and take it forward."
