Notts County assistant boss Carl Muggleton is looking forward to seeing goalkeepers Rob Burch and Stuart Nelson battle it out.
Both joined the Magpies on two-year deals last summer, and Burch, 27, was given the nod. He suffered two injuries during the campaign and only started 14 games in League One in the end.
Nelson, 29, started 32 times, and ended the season as the club's first-choice keeper.
"It's always good to have a strong rivalry and we have two talented goalkeepers," Muggleton told the Nottingham Post.
"They both had spells in the team last season and gave good performances, but that counts for nothing now. We will start afresh and whoever does well will get the jersey for the start of the season."
