Notts County's Stephen Darby is pleased to have been able to return from injury earlier than first thought.
The defender played 90 minutes in Tuesday's 1-0 defeat to Peterborough following an ankle injury he suffered in the FA Cup clash with Premier League side Manchester City.
Darby, who was not expected to return to first-team selection until next week, was delighted to don the Magpies shirt once again against Posh.
"I've been doing treatment back at Liverpool and things went better than planned and I made a quicker recovery than expected," he told the club's official website.
"I got the news that I'd be coming back on Sunday and obviously I'm delighted to be back here. You go back and you're not in the dressing room with the lads - I was away from them for two weeks.
"They're a great bunch and I've come back and settled in really well. I felt comfortable being back but the lads are just gutted that we couldn't create the opening and force the goal (against Peterborough). I think the least we deserved was a point."
