Ince feels ex-Utd youngster is quick striker he's been looking for

Notts County manager Paul Ince has confirmed a deal has been agreed to sign former Manchester United striker Febian Brandy for the rest of the season. Brandy has been looking for a club since leaving United last summer and he has recently been training with Championship strugglers Preston North End. However, the 22-year-old has now accepted a move to Meadow Lane after Ince received a favourable report from United manager Sir Alex Ferguson. "He's the quick striker I've been looking for," said Ince in the Nottingham Evening Post. "He's been at Preston for the last few weeks, but we steamed in there and have got a deal signed. "It's a chance for him. We've given him a platform to come in and score goals and show what he can do, with a view to a permanent deal here. "I spoke to Sir Alex about him because he was at Man Utd and he told me he's a good player. "He was very highly rated at Man Utd and played for England at Under 17, 18 and 19s, so he will be good for us. He has probably lost his way, but he's got potential and a lot of ability."
