Carlisle boss Greg Abbott is set to make a decision on the futures of Francoise Zoko and Kevin Long.
The duo have been training with the Cumbrians this summer in the hope of earning permanent deals.
They have caught the eye of the coaching staff at Brunton Park and have given Abbott and his team plenty of food for thought.
He admits he now faces a tough choice on what to do next, but has told Ivory Coast Under-23 international Zoko and teenage Burnley defender Long to expect an answer by early next week.
"We have plenty of thinking to do about these two lads and we'll let everyone know the decision once it has been made," said Abbott.
