Ainsworth reassures Kretzschmar

Wycombe manager Gareth Ainsworth insists that midfielder Max Kretzschmar has a future at the League Two club.

The 21-year-old has played just once in the last six weeks and with Marcus Bean joining last week, he will face a battle to return to the starting line-up, but Ainsworth is certain his time will come and will not look for a loan move. "Max has been injured with a thigh problem, but loaning him out? We've got a small enough squad as it is," he told Get Bucks. "He's a cracking player and although we've got a bit stronger in the midfield areas, he's still got a big part to play. "I just don't see Max as a midfielder, but as a forward who could play wide at the front. He's definitely in my plans, and I wouldn't have given him a two-and-a-half year contract last year if I didn't think that. "He's just got to be patient, and wait his turn."
