Wycombe have signed striker Paul Hayes on a two-year deal following his departure from Scunthorpe.

The 30-year-old, who helped the Iron clinch promotion out of League Two this season, returns to Adams Park after a hugely successful loan spell in 2012 which saw him net six times in six starts. "He's played at a higher level than this and when he came here the first time he really opened my eyes to what a good player he is," boss Gareth Ainsworth told the club's official website. "He's clever, he leads the line really well but he can also come off the line and link the play. "It sends out a statement that we're trying to build the squad the right way and I'm very pleased to have him."
