Dobson: Happy with a point
Wycombe assistant boss Richard Dobson was grateful for a point after his below-par side clinched a 2-2 draw at AFC Wimbledon.
Matt McClure stepped off the substitutes' bench to rescue a point for Wycombe with 18 minutes to go, but Dons boss Neal Ardley insisted his side had done more than enough to take the points.
Wycombe went ahead through Jo Kuffour, but West Ham loanee Paul McCallum levelled and then added his fourth goal in three games to put the Dons ahead, only for McClure's late leveller to ensure it ended with a point apiece.
Dobson said: "It's a point gained definitely. We didn't play well enough after the first goal and took our foot off the pedal.
"Sometimes when you score first you think it'll be easier than it actually is, and credit to Wimbledon for coming back into the game and putting us under pressure.
"They kept on us and as the game went on they grew in confidence and were unlucky not to get the third.
"We weathered the storm at the beginning of the second half and luckily grabbed a goal.
"We didn't do as well as we usually do with our battling qualities. We weren't sharp enough to the ball so I'm happy to take the point for sure.
"Matt McClure is always going to get a sniff at goal and he gave us some impetus and more quality in the attacking areas."
