Ainsworth staying positive

Gareth Ainsworth insists he can add some much-needed stability to relegated-threatened Wycombe after a 2-1 loss to Rochdale.

Bobby Grant's deflected shot in injury-time handed Rochdale all three points at Adams Park, adding to an earlier effort from Ashley Grimes. Sandwiched between the visitor's goals was an effort from Joel Grant for the hosts but it counted for nothing, although Ainsworth is predicting better times are ahead for the Chairboys. "We definitely didn't deserve to lose," he said. "In fact I think we might have edged it on chances and we could have won. "I said to the boys if they play like that for the rest of the season then we'll be nowhere near the bottom two and that's the most important thing. "We were dealt a cruel blow in injury time but that happens and it is up to me now to get them picked up for next week."
