Ainsworth calls for response

Wycombe caretaker manager Gareth Ainsworth says his players should use the 3-1 home defeat against Oxford as motivation.

Having beaten Torquay, Portsmouth and Fleetwood earlier in October, the Chairboys have since gone three league games without winning to slip back toward the relegation spots in League Two. "We'll remember this and we can get back to the mentality of the three games we won as opposed to feeling like this," Ainsworth said. "There aren't too many positives. It's just one of those things where the lads are going to be very down after it - but they should be. "It was a proper derby game. There was a lot of tackles flying in but their early goal gave them a boost and settled them down." After the FA Cup trip to Crewe on Saturday, Wycombe travel to fellow strugglers Aldershot.
