Defender Charles Dunne has signed a one-year contract extension at Wycombe to keep him at the club until the summer of 2014.
The highly-rated left-back made his debut in the defeat at Charlton in April before also featuring against Notts County and Sheffield Wednesday. Dunne, 19 made seven appearances during a successful loan spell at Staines Town at the start of last season, as well as playing a starring role at centre-back as the Chairboys retained the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup last month. "I'm chuffed, it's what I wanted to do and was my aim from last season," he told Wycombe's official website. "This club means a lot to me. Two years ago I was playing semi-pro and now I'm at my first professional club. "It was a good experience at Staines and I tried to get my head down to reach my target of playing more first-team football. My aim is to be in that squad every week. I don't know what my best position is to be honest. I'll play anywhere the gaffer wants me to." Manager Gary Waddock added: "I'm really pleased that he's signed an extension to his contract. He's a player with good potential and I look forward to welcoming him back fit and strong for next season."
