Jo Kuffour wants to turn his loan move to Gillingham into a permanent stay with the club.
The 29-year-old striker joined the Gills from Bristol Rovers on a three-month deal which expires at the end of December.
But Kuffour, who netted his first two goals for Andy Hessenthaler's side in a 5-2 win over Torquay, is keen to remain in the south east.
He told BBC Radio Kent: "I liked the club after a couple of weeks. They're a good bunch of lads, it's a good stadium and a great manager.
"All I can think of now is playing well for Gillingham and the fans and hopefully things will follow.
"I feel like I'm hitting my stride now. I was made to train with the youth team at Bristol Rovers and missed about five weeks, it's almost like I'm in pre-season now."
