Wycombe Wanderers boss Gary Waddock is relishing the return of long-term injury victim Jon-Paul Pittman.

The 24-year-old spent four months on the sidelines after tearing tendons in his knee against Macclesfield in September, but has recently returned to light training. "He was in terrific form when the injury happened and it was a massive blow for him and for the team," Waddock told the Buckinghamshire Advertiser. "He is an explosive player with bags of ability and his positive attitude has helped him through this injury. "JP has done very well in his rehabilitation and has worked extremely hard. "Hopefully, come January, he will be like a new signing for us and can give us some extra options up-front."
