On-loan youngster may be sidelined for six weeks

Grimsby Town fear on-loan forward Paris Cowan-Hall could be out for up to six weeks with a hamstring injury. Cowan-Hall picked up the problem playing for the reserves as his luckless spell on loan at Blundell Park from Portsmouth continued. The 19-year-old originally joined on a month's loan in early January, but that stint was cut short by glandular fever before he returned to Grimsby for the rest of the season. Mariners boss Neil Woods told the Grimsby Evening Telegraph: "Paris' injury is a big blow for both the lad and us. "He needed a game and we planned to play him for an hour for the reserves. Then, just seconds before he was about to come off, he pulled up with his hamstring. "We don't know the extent of that yet, but it could be between two and six weeks out. "It's a shame because he looked really bright again for the reserves and hasn't had much luck since he arrived here."
