Wycombe Wanderers defender Leon Johnson is closing in on a return to action after featuring for the reserves.
The centre-half completed his first 45 minutes since picking up a hip injury in November.
Chairboys boss Gary Waddock admitted that he is delighted with the 28-year-old's progress.
He told
skysports.com: "Leon is ahead of schedule and he got 45 minutes under his belt last week, but he will need one or two more games first before we can consider him for first-team action.
"I'm really pleased with the way he is recovering."
The news will come as welcome relief to the League One strugglers after fellow centre-half Adam Hinshelwood was ruled out for up to three weeks after suffering a knee injury.

An impressive win at play-off chasing Bristol Rovers gave the Chairboys a huge lift after going eight games without a victory, but last Saturday's 4-1 defeat at home to Yeovil sent them back down to earth with a bang.
Waddock is hoping they can raise the bar once again with a tough triple-header coming up.
He added: "We've got Brentford away next before two home clashes with Millwall and Southampton, so it isn't the easiest run of games, but it never is in this division because it is so competitive.
"It was important to get some momentum going and when we got the equaliser against Yeovil I thought we might kick-on, but they immediately went ahead again and it knocked us for six a little.
"If we can put on a good performance at Brentford, like we did at Bristol Rovers, then it will set us up nicely going into the two home games."
