Leon Johnson is hoping Wycombe's impressive start to the season will lead them to promotion glory.
The Chairboys currently top League Two and remain unbeaten in the league this season.
With that in mind, Johnson feels anything less than a successful rise into the third tier would be devastating for all concerned at Adams Park.
"It would definitely be a huge disappointment not to go up this season after the start we've had," the defender told
skysports.com.
"But it is important to keep it going until the end of the season.
"We've had nearly a quarter of the season and we just have to maintain that form for the rest of the season and we'll hopefully get promoted."

Wycombe's home clash with Macclesfield on Tuesday lasted just 23 minutes before it was abandoned due to bad weather conditions.
However, the Chairboys remain at the League Two summit and Johnson is determined to do his utmost to ensure they stay there.
"It's good to lead the way at the top of the table at the moment and the lads are feeling confident going into every game because of that. We are enjoying it at the top, but we want to stay there," he added.
Wycombe have been praised for their watertight defence this season, having conceded just six goals in their opening 13 league games, but Johnson has been quick to praise the attacking tactics implemented by boss Peter Taylor.
"We don't go out just to defend, we go out to score goals," he said.
"But we've been labelled as a good defensive team at the moment and it's a complement to us lads at the back and if we can continue to keep clean sheets then it will stand us in good stead for the rest of the season."
