Macclesfield Town boosted their survival hopes with victory at Mansfield Town, while Boston United picked up a point at Wycombe Wanderers.
Paul Ince's Macclesfield are now six points ahead of the bottom two in League Two after a battling 2-1 success at Field Mill.
Mansfield dominated the first period, with Simon Brown just unable to apply a finishing touch to Nathan Arnold's cross, having earlier been denied by opposing keeper Tommy Lee.
But John Miles put the visitors in front with his first goal of the season on 54 minutes as he slotted coolly past Jason White.
The second goal arrived on 66 minutes when Matty McNeil reacted quickly to turn home the rebound after White had saved with his legs.
Mansfield pulled one back within two minutes when Johnny Mullins was allowed to head home a corner unmarked.
Boston edged a point further away from the relegation zone after grinding out a 0-0 draw at Wycombe in a match of few opportunities.
