Wycombe boss Paul Lambert has hit out at the FA's decision not to overturn Tommy Doherty's four-match suspension.
The 27-year-old was shown a straight red in Wycombe's 1-0 defeat at Boston on Saturday and sat out the midweek game against Bristol Rovers.
Lambert has now learned that the club's appeal has been rejected, meaning Doherty will also miss the upcoming games against Shrewsbury, Notts County and Oxford.
"It's going to be a big loss to us because he's been playing very well," Lambert told the club's official website.
"I still think the sending off was ludicrous and I can't believe he hasn't been let off."
