Jones enjoys Orient return

Goalkeeper Jamie Jones has paid tribute to Leyton Orient's fans following the reception he received on his long-awaited return.

The 25-year-old was back between the sticks in promotion-chasing O's damaging defeat to Bradford on Saturday after missing 19 games with a stress fracture to the spine. "It felt great to be back out there," Orient's longest-serving player told the club's official website. "I felt like I did before I got injured and my back felt fine. I love playing for this club and having the lads around me. I'm really excited for the rest of the season now. All we can do is keep pushing on in the league. "The fans were brilliant and it gave me a massive lift to get that sort of reception. "They (the fans) gave everyone a lift and encouraged us on, it's just a shame we couldn't find a way through."
