McIntyre: The results will come

Rochdale midfielder Kevin McIntyre has backed the League Two club to start turning draws into victories at Spotland.

John Coleman's team were held to a goalless draw by 10-man Fleetwood on Saturday - their fourth stalemate of the season at home. "It's been a source of frustration that our best performances have come away from home so far," McIntyre told the Rochdale Observer. "In pre-season, we were playing some really good stuff at Spotland and I don't know why, but we just don't seem to have been able to knock the blocks off opponents. I thought we were better against Fleetwood, we had a lot more of the ball and we did the pressing. "Okay, we lacked the cutting edge on the day, but if we carry on playing like that at home hopefully the results will come. We've done well in games and on other occasions we've come off thinking 'we should have won that one'. "We just have to keep going, keep in among the pack around the Christmas period and then look to push on, because we know we have the quality. We have a great squad and a great management team, and there's nothing to say we can't push on."
