On-loan Morecambe defender Sean McGinty has returned to Manchester United due to injury.
The 18-year-old joined the Shrimps at the end of February for an initial month and made four appearances before dislocating his shoulder during Saturday's defeat to Hereford. "I'm absolutely gutted for the lad," manager Jim Bentley told Morecambe's official website. "He is only 18 and has been a pleasure to work with. I wish him really well and hope he is back in action as soon as possible." The news comes as a substantial blow to Bentley having recently lost defensive pair Nick Fenton and Laurence Wilson to injury, with the later set to miss the rest the season due to a knee problem.
